Through my experience in the PLU athletics program the last two years, I've become a strong believer in sports as a way to develop students for lifetime success.

Why should you support PLU Track and Field? Let me tell you.

In my time as an athlete for PLU, I've come to realize that college athletics is about a whole lot more than recreation and fun. Participation in NCAA D3 college athletics is no small commitment to make without the lure of a scholarship. For those who accept this challenge, the benefits are immense and far reaching, and the experience can give them skills that will set them up for a lifetime of success, in many cases, skills beyond anything they will learn in the classroom. Participation in the PLU Track and Field program gives PLU students the opportunity to learn traits like persistence, resilience, reliability, positivity, and leadership. They will learn how to work hard to achieve goals that they have set for themselves, discover their potential and limits, learn how to both lead and follow, and how to succeed both as an individual and as a team. These are traits that can carry them far in life. So when you support PLU track and field, you are helping create a better future for dozens of young men and women who are being taught how to succeed in life in and after college.
