It would be nice to be able to throw our own implements at track meets and opens, but nine times out of ten, our shots/hammers/discuses don't make it past the check-ins, so we have to use other schools' equipment.

This is my second year as a member of the PLU track team, and the second time we have participated in a fundraising project. Last year we were able to raise a decent amount of money, and we were able to reach our goal, but that was after we scaled back our end goal.

My hopes for this year is to be able to contribute more to my team and match their efforts. This team is full of athletes that are willing to put in 110% every day, both on the track and in the classroom. There is a strong sense of mutual respect and care between the team and a strong feeling of belonging.

I believe that with this money, we can have a better facility and better equipment that will benefit every athlete on this team. Any donation is greatly appreciated and welcomed.
