ReCon opens opportunities for greater collaborative work in the future.
As an incoming Master's student in Fall of 2018, ReCon was highly beneficial as it allowed me to become more aware of the wide variety of work happening within the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation (KSR). I was able to see presentations on the engagement of refugees with recreation opportunities in Canada, the experiences of female athletes on social medias, and the evolution of mountain biking gear in the twentieth century. ReCon expanded my understanding of the research that was being carried out under KSR and encouraged me to envision additional interdisciplinary research!
