How I found my voice through the UW PATP Class of 2018.

I'm a pretty shy person.

This may seem in contradiction with my choice of profession, but my interests lie in the study of humanity, not a draw to the spotlight. I'm fascinated with the human being's capacity to do anything and be anyone - and I want to be a part of that.

I knew that the University of Washington was a top-rated training program for acting, and I was (and am) honored to be a part of that legacy. And that legacy is nurtured by the five artists that surrounded and challenged me for the past three years - and remind me daily that this program produces the best actors in the country.

Despite my personal aversion to tooting my own horn, I can confidently say that the UW PATP Class of 2018, my class, is unique. Not only due to them being titans of talent in several areas of performance, but they exude bravery and willingness to jump in - and bring me along with them.

I may be shy, but I've learned from my classmates how to find my voice. And it's rather loud.
